I graduated from Glasgow University in 1985 with an MA (Social Sciences), and moved to London to work in Retail Management. I was involved in staff training and development and after 10 happy years was headhunted to work for a Retail Training Provider.
Here, I was heavily involved in the design and delivery of a range of training programmes, had responsibility for the development of systems and procedures and for ensuring that the organisation met all the government’s quality standards for adult training providers.
As a senior manager in an organisation which grew from 4 to 25 in the 3 years I was there, I learnt a terrific amount about business improvement and development.
With a drive to support and develop other organisations, I set up my own consultancy in June 1998 initially to provide advice and support to organisations involved in the delivery of Government funded training.
However as my skills and knowledge have increased over the years I have been able to work successfully with a wide range of clients offering business improvement and coaching support, that has enabled them to develop and grow and achieve their business ambitions.
